Whether it be as an accompaniment to your morning breakfast, or a refreshing treat after a workout, homemade juice drinks provide a delicious refreshment which makes you feel good. Smeg's CJF11 electric citrus juicer can juice a variety of large or small fruits with ease, whether that be oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruit or even kumquats and yuzu, ensuring you absorb all of those important vitamins. Its powerful 70W motor produces results quickly and there is an integrated on-off sensor which activates the juicing process once there is pressure on the reamer. Once the juice is collected, every drop of juice is dispensed directly into a glass with the anti-drip spout preventing any spillages. Simple to operate and clean, the juicer comes with a lid to protect the appliance from dust when not in use which can double up as a bowl for fruit peels. All the components are easily removable for washing, with the Tritan juicing bowl being dishwasher safe and impact resistant. There is a handy cable tidy to ensure minimal exposure on the work surface as well as anti-slip feet for extra stability.

Frequently asked questions

What is a citrus juicer?

Unlike other types of juicers, a citrus juicer is a kitchen appliance specifically designed to extract juice from citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, limes, and grapefruits, making it easy to enjoy fresh, nutrient-rich juice at home.

What fruit can you use in a citrus juicer?

Automatic citrus juicers can extract juice from a variety of citrus fruits, including oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruits, and tangerines.

Is a juicer better than a blender?

As with most things in life, it’s about choosing the right tool for the job. In terms of juice extraction, a citrus juicer is better than both all-purpose juicers and blenders. That is because citrus juicers separate the juice from the pulp, providing a smooth, nutrient-rich beverage, while blenders blend the entire fruit, including the pulp and fibre.

How to use an electric citrus juicer

Automatic, electric citrus juicers are quick and easy to use:

  1. Cut your citrus fruit in half.
  2. Place one half onto the juicing cone.
  3. Press down gently to activate the juicer.
  4. Allow the juicer to extract the juice into the container below.
  5. Repeat with the other half of the fruit.
  6. Pour and enjoy your freshly squeezed juice.
Can a citrus juicer go in the dishwasher?

Yes, many parts of the Smeg citrus juicer, such as the juicing cone, filter, and juice container, are dishwasher safe. However, always refer to the user manual for specific cleaning instructions.

How long is the warranty on Smeg citrus juicers?

Smeg citrus juicers come with a standard 2-year warranty, covering any manufacturing defects or issues under normal use.

How to safely dispose of your old electric citrus juicer?

To safely dispose of your old electric citrus juicer, you can either take it to a local recycling centre or some local councils will collect them for free as part of their local waste collection services. Many retailers will also now accept (whether you purchased a replacement from them or not) old electrical appliances as part of the Electrical Retailer Take-Back scheme.
